My family is originally from a small farming town Sabina, Ohio. Mac tools started off in Sabina and I am starting to collect Mac tools marked Sabina for sentimental reasons. If you have any tools marked Sabina (wrenches, wooden handled screwdrivers, etc.) please post a pic. Thanks.

Whoa,

I feel bad now. I used the 4 MAC Sabina ones I got in a box of rusty wrenches for $5.00 at the Old drive in Flea Market on Route 23 South (High Street) (Just a mile or three north of where 270 is at its southernmost point) to show my neighbor kid some welding techniques. I think I have one left. I will try to dig it out and post it.

think I said too much,

There were just so many of them in the box that were rusty and so cheap. I didn't feel like grinding them all off. I did keep the vintage Cornwell that was in the box!

I have not had much luck with the MAC tool guys in my area. Nothing against MAC tools. I only own 4 MAC tools. 2 Deadblow hammers that have come apart (And I can't get warrantied), A screwdriver, and a short circuit detection kit I got for $5.00.

All of that being said, I do feel very bad now :(

A short-circuit detection kit? I usually just use my nose. Burning insulation has a rather unique smell.

I've cut, ground and welded good tools when I was in a bind to finish a job. No foul there. But making random weld puddles?...Good God, man... what were you thinking???!!!!

Gallick - I have a few old items you might be interested in.
1/2x9/16 open end wrench that reads "1/2 sabina MAC ohio 9/16",
a 1/2 drive 1" socket that reads "1 Mac Sabina, O. V322",
and a 1/2 drive 1-1/16 socket that reads " MAC V 342 Sabina, O 1-1/16"

The battery in my camera is dead, but I'll get some pictures posted up for you soon.

Rose Jackets 67- I would love to see pics of the wrench and sockets if you have time.

Thanks everyone else for checking this post. So far the few tools marked Sabina that I have gotten have all been from various parts of Ohio, I figure they were the earliest ones, and the majority never left the state.

I do not have the ability to post pics, but I have 6-8 old Mac pieces marked that way. I always purchase the old Mac stuff marked this way to add to my oldies collection. Great stuff, occasionally I even use some of my oldies.

Digging up an old one here.

I just inherited some tools from my great uncle, who was an auto mechanic in the 40's and 50's before becoming a private pilot. He had plenty of Mac Tools, here are some of the ones I'm fortunate enough to have.

I know that some complain about the square MAC beams being uncomfortable but I find them to be esthetically pleasing.
