Old post, but I wanna say tat from vast experience, this is the stuff to get. You get a built in ladder, but most important, you have all the different levels, so you can usually find a good level for standing on one side and have a scaffold plank on the other side at a good height for you tools and stuff. Having to bend over plus walking all over your tools ; we’ll, I sure don’t like it. Some brands have sections with corresponding X-braces that are less than the standard 5’ high. All that I know of are 5x7’ I plan view, center-to-center of upright tubes. Pin holes and diagonal brace attachment points vary with brand, but you can make your own diagonal braces with 3/4 EMT conduit if you need to.The "Baker" style scaffolding is fairly narrow. If you are going to work to reach twelve feet you will need two sections and outriggers are a must on soft ground. On level concrete, not so much.
Can you get the Werner for $169" I think it is out of stock.
Going that high I might consider the more commercial scaffolding, although the baker style works better inside.
