Found it in a garage sale. How old is this ratchet?

Not really. Square nuts were very common in the era when that tool was made.

I'd guess ww1 era to mid 20's.
Stamped sockets were all the rage then.

I had one of these from an estate sale. It is my oldest ratchet in my collection. After some research on mine found it under a silo wrench and a patent year 1909. It looks very similar to that one. Good luck on your hunt.

It is a Champion Ratchet Wrench Set, made by the Syracuse Wrench Company.
