I am guessing maybe 70's?? I don't think it is as old as you think...I think it also had rubber grips which are now gone.

That's why most of us haunt estate sales!
Many times something like that sells for $5 or less!
Know the good brands and be able to recognize quality.
Most of the time the people in charge recognize the name Craftsman as being the good quality top priced items but are unfamiliar with Proto, New Britain, Diamond, Starrett, etc. and those are less $$$
They might know Wilton vises but not Athol, Reed, Prentiss...

Saw a flea market seller with a box of more expensive Craftsman and a box of less expensive 'junk'. If it wasn't Craftsman, it was in the other box. Found good stuff in there including Snap-On and Williams.

I recently picked up a second pair of Thomas & Betts crimpers like the ones I posted above and yesterday I found a box to keep them in. The box looks a lot better than it did with blistering paint. I just removed the loose stuff with a razor blade and rubbed on it a bit with a scotch-brite pad.

I grabbed some other crimpers at the same time. They're not the same brand, but the title doesn't include T&B, so I'll indulge in sharing them too. BURNDY HYTOOL is not a brand I'd heard of. Can someone "Help me date and know more about them please?" : p
I neglected to get photos of the other side of those crimpers, but the Y14CM1 are marked "for hydent connectors 22-10 navy 1-9" and the Y14MG say "for Navy 150 sealing grooves."

I buy those style crimper every time I come across them less than $5! Get sick of following a new or tightwad tech using the cheapie smash style GB ones for crimping their terminals and **** connectors! Trade them even up and scrap the off brand! LOL. Worth my couple bucks to not have to fix their bad connections! Lolol
Keep a few different TB's too. Older ones seem to be almost double the thickness, which is nice sometimes, but little more difficult with short wires or hard to access spots

Are you familiar with the T&B AN 3428-1? What are the forward two cylinder slots for? I was looking for the WT-111-M and came across these.

Not positive, but think theyre for crimping non Insulated type connectors that dont have the plastic covering.
