I would recommend the Wera set. They're my interior/clean work screwdriver set. Have the Wera chiseldrivers for more tough situations.

Haven't used the Whias, so this is not from a direct comparison. But I have checked them out in stores and prefer both the Wera tip and handle. Handle design can be very personal though.

Sounds like Wera.......although I'm still leery about not having 3 Phillips and 3 straight like the Wiha's.

I just recently purchased the Wera. I opened the box and thought the smallest flat was defective. Turns out, they do not apply the laser etching to the smallest flat head.

Other than that, I absolutely adore these things. They are definitely my "go-to" clean enviroment screwdrivers.

Both are great drivers. I prefer the Wera chiseldrivers. The Weras have hex shaped blades for easy finger spinning. The Wera handle is hexed shape towards the blade to keep it from rolling and spins well between thumb and index finger. The Wiha proturn has a smooth round blade without a bolster. The handle is hex shaped towards the top and seem larger than the Wera handle.
If you visit www.wihatool.com you can get just a phillips set of the proturns if you wanted and see their other fine screwdriver handles. The wiha microfinish is probably the best nonslip hndle you can buy. Good luck with your selection.

I like the Wihas I just purchased. I have never seen a Wera but I do know the Wihas I have do a better job of gripping the fastener than any other driver I have used. At least the phillips bits that is. I believe Weras will give you the same level of performance. Maybe they have a better tip and maybe not. I would go with the ones that feel better in your hand if it were me.

First up, the Wera set.

Next up, the Wiha set.

I like the tips of the Weras, but I like the fact of having 3 Phillips and 3 Slotted of the Wiha set more then 2 Phillips and 4 Slotted of the Weras.

The Wiha you link to uses the 3k grips, and I don't care for them, but Wiha has other grips I like with the same I believe anticam out treatment.

The Wera tips though are very very nice, maybe edge in favor of them, but both make excellent stuff.

I have a lot of Wiha(three sets) and Wera(most of the green handles offered and a set of the Yellow) but not the soft grip Wiha but that is what I would choose. My Wiha Security bit set has the soft handle and I love the feel of it.

I have had a set of Weras for a few weeks now. I love them, and so does everyone else. They are comfortable and grip very well.

I have the exact Wiha set you have linked in your post. I have not used Wera's before, but I really like the Wiha's. The handle is extremly comfortable, as others have mentioned. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Between those two, the Wera. But, I would take the Wiha microfinish or softgrip over those lasertips. Just so you know, those Wera lasertip are not durable. The lasertip is soft but grips extremely well. If getting Wera, I would go with the Chiseldrivers, which I own too, and they are nice.

I also have not tried the Weras, but I love my Wihas I recently bought. I have the blue/black Proturns like shown in the photo above, and they are the BEST I've ever used. It's amazing how much better a real screwdriver really bites a screw and makes work so much easier. But, I've only used Craftsman in the past, so I'm sheltered.

I started with that Wiha set and have added many more- very satisfied with wiha. They make excellent torx drivers also.

I'll go with the Wiha, but I only have the mini drivers of both. I cannot comment on full size drivers, whereas I really only have Snap-On.

Wiha`s must be good because I got really mad once when a break disk would not come off and I hit a Wiha screwdriver into solid steel quite hard and I was shocked at the strength of the tip.

I own and use both.

Wiha tips last a good bit longer, but I'm a little miffed that they seem to be sending their entire product line (or at least most of it) to vietnam.

Wera has the most comfortable handles in the biz, but the tips deform more easliy than other top shelf drivers I've owned.

Agreed. I have the Wiha "soft-grip" handles in the O.P. and they're lightweight, blade-heavy and they're not my favorite.

But I also have a set with "microfinish" handles on my Wiha screwdrivers and it is my most favorite ever. Perfect weight/balance/grip and what seems like a better finish. The #2 phillips is my goto driver, and it's superb. Just buy that. The tips are immaculate after about a year of moderate use.
