Help me decide on a 4 post lift.
I know there are some postings about this but most are older.
Looking for a 4 post lift that meets my requirements.

1. Must be able to lift a 1 ton crew cab dually
2. Must be movable with casters
3. Must have a good jack tray

Leaning towards
Advantage DX 9000 XLT
Advantage SS 11000
Challenger CL4P9W
Atlas Garage Pro 9000

Others will be considered as well, but these seem pretty solid choices.

Thanks

I have the Advantage DX9000xlt and the SS11000.

I bought the SS11000 specifically to fit the F350 crew cab dually. It’s wider so the rear wheels clear the posts, plus it’s a 240 v motor, although the 9000 wiring can be reworked from 120 to 240.

Interestingly, they have an upcharge to do the rewire, although the box clearly states 120/240.

Give them a call and they’ll advise you to go with the SS.

Challenger builds excellent lifts. I have their 10K 2 post for 20 years and the only thing I've done to it is change the rubber pads. The question is, can you buy the Challenger at a reasonable price compared to the others - i.e. within your budget.

Make sure whatever you select has removable aluminum approach ramps. Steel is too heave, and non removable ramps are head bangers that get in the way.

Carefully review the specs to insure the unit has adequate drive through capability to clear your rear dual wheels. That was the biggest hang up that led me to the Advantage SS11000 lb lift over the dozen others I checked out.

I purchased the WildFire XLT almost a year ago. It's a replica of the Advantage DX 9000 XLT. It is $1k cheaper than the Advantage, but after factoring in shipping charges from WildFire to a shipper, the Wf was slightly cheaper then. The only plus to the Advantage is that if you live close enough to one of the warehouses, they will deliver it to your home. Anyway, I have been totally satisfied with the WildFire. I narrowed it down between Advantage and WF because I wanted the square towers, not the open c channel. I also see Advantage includes the aluminum ramps. I think WF is steel using the steel ramps with the option to buy aluminum. The steel ones are way too heavy to fool with. I ended up purchasing some low-angle RaceRamps. They work great.

I talked to both Wildfire and Advantage. The upcharge for the aluminum ramps at Wildfire, and the availability of the SS11000 from Advantage swayed me to Advantage. Pretty sure Wildfire didn’t have anything above 9000 lb, and I wanted something that handled the F350 and the F450, which takes above 10k.

I picked up both the 9000 and 11000xlt at their warehouse in St Paul.

They (Wildfire and Advantage) are both pretty much the same lift, from what I saw at the time.
