Help me decipher this Craftsman drill press mod

This CM drill press, 113.213xxx, does not have the original 8 sp pulley system and thin belt. Some PO installed new spindle and motor pulleys and a homemade center post speed reducer (not on in the pics). As you can see, the spindle pulley is a mess and attempts to find an affordable replacement have been fruitless. Anyway, the spindle seems to have some sort of bushing/spacer/sleeve to increase the shaft diameter, but I cannot get it off (yet). I don't believe the spacer is original, but any thoughts on what's going on here and possible next steps would be helpful.

No, the aftermarket pulley on the CM has a 1" (IIRC) bore, which is considerably larger than most and the reason I am having troubles replacing it.

There are some maker marks on the box and pulley, might help you locate the similar pulley by that maker in your size. Will try to get them out this weekend.

Figure out diameters in the mean time

So my pullies are Congress Drives 4x559, with 5/8"shaft and a bushing down to 1/2". 4" major, 3", 2". I suspect googling like this will find what you need

My swag is that the po converted the spindle pulley and the motor pulley to 1/2" v-belt size in order to use his home made middle pulley.

That bushing/spacer/sleeve looks like the OE bearing shaft. The shaft has the female splines that mate to the splines on the spindle.. There is a machine screw on the outside of the head casting that retains the bearing/shaft assembly. Remove that screw and the assembly should pull out, but you may need to knock it out from the bottom.

The oe 8-step pulley has a 1" bore.

There are a few oe bearing/shaft assemblies in the photo below.
