I am in the middle of some serious garage upgrades. Long story short, a dream come true. Previous house burned down nearly 2 years ago, insurance owes me a nice chunk of change from my structure coverage. We bought where we are now, which has a detached shop (100 feet from my house) of around 1000 sq feet. Poured concrete floor (with 2 drains) and heavily insulated.

First on the list I am having a 400 (320) amp split meter installed to provide the upgrade to a 200 amp service in the shop, which currently has a 30 amp service. :-[ While that is being installed I am have a 3/4" water line, co-ax cable, and a cat 5 cable trenched also. Already had a concrete guy out to punch a hole in the floor and get a 2" PVC drain to the tile so I can set a shop sink.

Hired a contractor to come in and apply industrial epoxy flooring to the floor. They said I can easily have any kind of design put under the clear. A logo, design, basically any vinyl print. I **** at this. Currently thinking along the lines of this. Zero plans of ever moving but I don't want anything so specific as to crush resale, i.e. sports teams, OEM logo's, etc. Definitely want a motorcycle themed logo. Sport touring (not cruiser), travel, Route 66, along these lines. Help me out here.

I've already committed to the epoxy flooring. Tan textured and I like it. A wood pattern sounds pretty cool though. Didn't know you could do that.

I saw some connecting rods poured into concrete before. I thought that was cool. I might do something like that in the future. It will be a tough choice for something permanent. You better love whatever you put. Maybe put a pattern, I have seen some cool metallic colors for epoxy floors too.
