Help me diagnose this issue

Here are pics of the pump/basin. For the record, pump is at least 12 yrs old. I can see breaches in the power cord. Will replace.

I wish I had the joint health to get in there but a plumber that I work with will install. Great guy. I used him in the past and he's local.

After some basic reasearch, choosing between Wayne or Zoller.

I'm gonna ShopVac the basin out but it's not bad due to the enclosure around it.

I think Liberty may be worth a look too. You plumber friend may know what the supply houses commonly stock. There can be good advice there.

Agreed. Spoke to his office manager as he's on jobs, today, but will ask him what he likes. I trust his judgement. Obviously, he doesn't want callbacks for early problems.

Good point. The previous owner backstabbed the GFCI so I'm betting he did them all like that.

GFCIs do not have "backstab" terminals. they are pressure plate terminals

Maybe the US is different or I’m mistaken but I was sure on a 15 amp cct., you were allowed 80% of the 15 amp 8 outlets allowing 1.5 amp per outlet.
8x1.5=12 or 80% of a 15 amp cct.

the code youre thinking of only applies to commercial. no such code in residential

80% derating exists for continuous loading, but doesn't address receptacle count

In residential the number of receptacles is unlimited, in non residential it's 180va per.
