Help Me Find a Dual Drive Ratchet

Hi Fellas,

I've searched high and low, and cannot find a dual drive ratchet that has a 3/8" male socket drive on one side, and a 1/4" female hex bit drive on the other side.

The one I have works fine, but it's cheap and flimsy, which is provided and commonly used by my employer. Since I use this mini ratchet with a in/lbs torque limiting socket sometimes, I'd like a nicer, well built replacement.

Picture of the current mini ratchet with a match book to gauge the size:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, what you're looking for is a bit ratchet on one side and a 1/4 ratchet on the other -- is there a specific reason you need both in one unit?

If you can survive with two tools, something like this would fit the bill.

Otherwise, here is one example of an all-in-one unit. Here is another.

Also, what line of work are you in?

Well, it's actually 3/8 socket drive on one side, and a 1/4 female hex drive on the other.

As for both in a single unit, it's just easier to use one tool for two tasks. For instance, as pictured, I use the hex bit side to quickly loosen a T25 screw, then use a torque limiting T25 socket to tighten the screw back to 22 in/lbs.

I work in the Warranty, Service and Repair department of Leupold & Stevens.
