Help me find my nuts!

LOL. had to get your attention somehow..

I for the life of me can find a nut that I need. I would call it a spring nut, but on google this just gets my a bunch of panel and sheet metal fasteners.


It's basically a nut with a COIL type spring attached to it. The spring protrudes about 3/4" from the bottom of the nut. I'd post a picture if I could even find a picture to post.

What the heck are these things called?? :mad:

I need both 3/8-16 and 1/4-20

I think I know what you're talking about, they use those on uni-strut for electrical work. Check with your local electrical supplier, they have them.

May have answered my own question after looking elsewhere. looks like its too seperate pieces, however when I took them out they seem to be one..

3/8-16 and 1/4-20 on a BMW? Whats going on?
Is that a e36 trunk mounted third brake light? I recognize realoem, I am on that site daily.

3 months from now you'll be wondering what the spring at one end of your work bench, and the nut at the other end are for :lol:
