I bought this piece of **** at an auction sight unseen cuz I wanted a band saw, and it was just in pieces and I was literally just going to drive it to the dump but I changed my mind and I'm going to try to diddle with it because I'm too bitter that I can't get my nice do all bandsaw into my garage cuz the doors too low. I really **** at electrical and that's the first thing I need to figure out so here's a video showing what's going on, it's like the motor is not really spinning but it's kind of moving can anybody start helping me with this?

I dont think I would describe it as a piece of ****, those are high quality industrial machines. Condition doesnt look too bad. 3 phase, 3 hot wires. Somehow you got it working. Not much really to troubleshoot on a 3 phase motor, they just work if you have the proper power applied.

You mention a phase converter, is it one of those that synthesize the 3rd leg or is it providing real 3 phase power? VFD's are the best way for most homeowner types to power 3 phase equipment if they dont have a rotary converter already present.

Going forward, you need to make sure all the bearings (wheels, motor) are good. Condition of tires and guides. It is just as high quality as your DoAll.

I’ve had both Grob and DoAll saws when I owned a Tool & Die shop. The DoAll was way better than the Grob, and the Grob was 10 years newer.

Can you carefully tip the DoAll on its side to get it through your door? Remove the guarding if necessary.

You say the red is the ground at the plug, and then it appears at the box that red goes to one of the fuse inputs? The fuses on 3 phase are all hot, L1, L2, and L3.

And for the love of god, please use the correct SOOW cable instead of BX/MX or whatever that its as a cord to the plug.

This. The red is ground at the plug, but going through one of the fuses. One of the phases is being grounded to the frame (black<->white under screw), so it is only getting 2/3 of the power. Not sure why you are saying Line/Load/IDK at the fuse box, all three are line (you can read Line in the video on the left two).

The pulley on the motor spins freely, and all I can tell you about my three phase converter is that it is from American rotary so it is a real three phase power supply. The problem that I try to show in the picture is that the motor pulley starts to move but it just kind of Wiggles back and forth so I don't really know what's going on as far as the electrical or the motor, but it's something to do with that

The Dual is a model's 26, and it's about 6 in taller than my garage and about 1500 lb. I've been able to tip my Powermatic but the model 26 is just two massive I thought I was going to die when I was getting it off my trailer. Plus I rent so I don't know how long I'm going to be here even though I have like a full welding and machine shop in my garage, but the problem is this just way too much work and it's not an absolute necessity since I also have the little grab that I can slide in and out. I bought the grub after I bought the duo thinking that I would just put the Dual outside to put tarps and then get to that once I buy a house. I also have kind of jacked up the concrete where I rent and just don't even want to **** with it

Okay I will take a better look at that, and remember I am really not good at electrical stuff. So when I get back home I'll look and see if the ground wire is going to one of the power legs instead. Yes once I get this working I will switch everything over to more legit and safety things but I'm just seeing if I can even get it started now

Im half retarded, let me go back and see, that's why I get the feeling maybe the wires are crossed up because the motor tries to move but it's like it doesn't have enough power to actually do anything
