At my aunt's estate auction a week ago, I bought lots of items for nostalgic reasons, including some old tools. One item which came in a cardboard box of hardware and tools is different than anything I have ever seen, and so I'm turning to the experts of Garage Journal for enlightenment. What items were originally in this box?

The faded name on the lid says, "Parker Kalon Socket Screws." Is this referring to typical cap screws but with a socket head? If so, I cannot imagine such items being shipped in a metal box with holes like a drill index? The metal insert even pops up on hinges, just like a drill index.

This third photo gives you a better look at the chart and information inside.
