Hello,
I just bought these two MAC Tools boxes. I am picking them up in the next couple of days. I do not know much about what they are worth and I intend to use them as intended because I have tools stacked up right now that I desperately need to sort out and organize. I believe them to be in good condition but I will not know until I get them. I do know there are no keys, but I am not sure if the locks were ever forced.

Top box has ten drawers
Top is 16" deep x 19" high x 33" wide
Bottom box has eight drawers
Bottom is 18" deep x 38" high and 33" wide
Total height is 57"

I was hopeful that someone might recognize the vintage of them in case I need to source parts for them.
Kevin

Thanks for the reply. Thankfully I paid less than that for them.
I just do not know much about the MAC product line.
I have perhaps an odd mix of hand tools. A lot of SK, Stahwille, Gedore, Proto, Klien, Knipex. Some nice older Britool torque wrenches. I was a machinist and so have a lot of Mitutoyo, Sttarrett, and other brands in that trade.

I have a very similar MAC & Matco setup, I bought them separately, but they were made in the same factory.
I drilled out the spot welds for the dividers in several of the drawers for better layout of tools.

I've got the same set you are picking up. I didn't pay much for mine, but I really do like the boxes a lot and don't mind the friction sliders at all.

Unfortunately, my roller/bottom box is missing the top drawer for some reason that is lost to history. I have little hope of finding a replacement for it...ah well, it's a tool box, not a treasure chest.

Great boxes!
I am trying to pick up MAC if it comes for a good price.
Can somebody tell me or make a picture of the inside of the drawers of the upper/lower boxes. Are they divided inside (and how) or they are straight?
I would like at least some undivided ones for my wrenches.

... there is an upper box similar to elguappo one in MA. However, the seller is playing some weird games (?scam person): answers that the box is available, but would not answer the question if the lock works or how to meet him to pick it up.

It feels recently that there are too many sellers on CL with room temperature IQ (in Celsius...)

I have the same top cabinet. They are nice even though they have the friction slides. Does it have the lever inside the top to unlock / lock the drawers? It's a super nice feature that allows you to close the lid yet still open the drawers.

None of the drawers in either of my boxes have dividers; just open within.
