Help me ID this hatchet logo

I would appreciate any input as to the maker of this hatchet
The stamping has 2 ovals, but inside I can see nothing.
Inside the ovals at the top reads Extra.
At the bottom appears to read DAM......... TEEL
Damascus Steel comes to mind. A claim to method of steel quality perhaps?

I believe that is a Plumb Anchor brand hatchet.

How come?
I see no cursive script or anchor.
I did entertain it being a Plumb as there is some red on the handle, but the handle is set with a wedge not a screw.
