I have looked through eBay Completed Items listings and looked on Alloy Artifacts, but couldn't find anything with markings and design quite like this one. It appears to be quite an oldie. The stamp font is a bit different than others I have seen and it does not say USA on it. Any ideas what the excess material on the left end is from (just a cast/forging flaw)?

That wrench is in fact a very old one. There are no date codes but its sometime around the early 30's. The earliest stuff is marked A. Plomb. I've been able to locate just one of the A. Plomb marked tools and that was last month.

AA is a great place but the history is not 100 percent complete. Did you try vannattabros.com? They have a bit more history and some people that you could ask for more info.
