For the life of me I can't figure out what these are. Definitely a big "C" that looks like a snake kind of. Grateful! Thx

Those Button's pattern pliers have been banged up. Pits and two colors of paint. The stamp is right on the edge of the flat, maybe trailing off a bit. I'm not convinced it's letters at all! If they are letters, it's not clear whether they are raised or recessed to the surface. The largest mark looks like an outlined or raised stylized "C" with the bottom of the curve enlongated into an underscore, sort of like Colt (but the word is longer) or Craftsman. In some of the pics, it looks like the first two "letters" inside the curve of the "C" might be raised "RA", though in other shots looks like recessed "U.S." The last visible letter could be an "N" or an "R" or "Y" in other shots. And right in the middle it looks like a very large ampersand.
"Cus'E'nVy"? "Craftsman"? I just can't read it.

I had a pair exactly like that and they were Utica with diamonds around the letters. What brand could be a rebrand?

When I was a small boy and my Father would drive by the Smith Hardware Building in Downtown Columbus and I would yell" Oh Daddy please take me there". Poor Dad would keep telling me" woody that place closed down before you were born".

Still there in all its former glory, maybe I can take some pictures for you guys they turned it into condos.
