I just bought this box and have no idea what it is! The bottom drawer rollers on both sides are bad and I need to replace them. The box was repainted, the inside color is original. Please tell me anything you know about this old box or where i can get replacement double ball bearing slides to match. Paid $350 for this box, not sure if it was a good deal or not but it's heavy duty and big enough for me! Thanks

I managed to disassemble one of the broken slides and it is laser etched "accuride", but from what i gather thats a popular slide. I should be able to mail it to them and have them rebuild it. I would like to know more about the box though. I will look in to those three companys further. oh, and the slides were stamped "05 97 1" which I googled with no real results

"Accuride" is the brand name of the drawer guides. If you need to replace those you can get them from any cabinet supply house, or contractor dist. You can also get them online. They are good guides. I don't know that they can be rebuilt. My son in law is a finish carpenter specializing in high end cabinets. He normally just replaces any guides with new ones. He also uses Accuride most all the time.

Sorry if the pics are small,I'm having to take them with the iPhone. I went on the accuride site but couldn't find any slides that mount the way these do. They seem to be cheap enough to replace but if I can't find them, rebuilding shouldn't be hard. Here are some pics of the drawer handles and how the slides mount to the drawers( they mount the same to the cabinet). Also some pics of the ball bearing retainers that are trashed.

I know that I have seen drawer pull handles like that......now if only I could remember on what box I saw them.
I would think that one of the guys on here that sell these for a living would have an idea as to what brand box you have.

The box itself (case) is identical to an MBC I have. The trim is totally different. I think a Snap on KRA396 was made by them as well. These boxes were made for a long time and in slightly different configurations. They may have made this one for another company. I have never seen one with those type of casters on it. Most have hand truck style wheels one one end with swivel casters on the other. They also have extra thick tops for doing workbench duty.

So basically I have no idea what brand that box is. It is a nice box, and if built the same as the others I have seen it is a tank. I am sure Accuride can figure out your slides though.
