Help me layout my 3-car garage!

My wife and I recently purchased a new (to us) house with a 3-car garage. I was so excited to upgrade from our old 2-car setup, I didn't pay much attention to how the garage was laid out...until now.

Plan is to store two vehicles in the garage and use the third space for a workshop. Vehicles include the wife's Camry and my '73 Bronco. The Camry can hang out in the driveway from time to time if I need that space for a specific project.
The workshop would be used for general auto repair/maintenance and woodworking. No lifts, lathes or flat panel TV's, just your basics (plenty of benchtop workspace, storage cabinets, a decent size table saw, chop saw, table-top drill press, small HF tool chest, etc. There are only three outlets and two light bulbs in the whole garage, so I plan to beef-up the electrical situation.
Here's a rough sketch of the space:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/37848796@N04/11413266074/" title="Garage02 by mark_havelka, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3671/11413266074_64a75ebd9b.jpg" width="500" height="256" alt="Garage02"></a>

My first thought was to use the more isolated bay as the work shop.
Pros:
- Plenty of wall space
- Furthest from the house (sound insulation from power tools)
- The single garage door has no opener, so it would be better-suited for the work shop
Cons
- SMALL
- Both cars in the 2-car space looks pretty tight

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/37848796@N04/11413266014/" title="Garage03 by mark_havelka, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2840/11413266014_761969fe8c.jpg" width="500" height="397" alt="Garage03"></a>

Option 2 is to put the Bronco in the isolated bay, then have the Camry share the 2-car section with the work shop.
Pros:
- More flexible space
- The Camry might have more space in this configuration which would make it easier for my wife to retrieve our toddler from the back seat.
Cons:
- Not much wall space when you really look at it. (That bump-out in the back houses the water heater and sub panel.)

So if you were in my shoes, how would you use this space and why?

First choice would be workshop in the two-car space. All of it. put the Bronco in the one-car space, and leave the Camry outside. ;)

Next choice would be to put the workshop in the small space. Wall space is everything to me.

If you just park the cars in the larger space and don't clutter it up with other stuff there should be plenty of room around the cars. So, your first option is the way I'd go.

How about the third option of putting the camry in the small space. I assume the bronco is sacred as you never mention it sitting outside. The 3rd option is if you have a project, it can be out of the way in the small bay. You also need to look at the walkway you will use daily. If it will be tight with two cars in the big section, do you want to walk thru this every day. But, if you put the workshop in the big section, you will walk thru it every day also. It really boils down to how will you use it daily and what can you live with/work with in your daily life.

What kind of things will you be working on in the workshop?
No way I could have my workshop share a space with the wife's car. I create way too much dust. I'd have to move her car out every time I'm working.
I say the 1 car bay as the workshop.
Utilize the bump out for extra storage for things.

Edit: guess I should read it all before posting.
Wood will be dusty still, so I stick with my first option.
I've been working with 2 outlets for a long time. I just put up a cord reel at the garage door opener outlet. That gets used the most.

Leaving the Camry out full time is not an option, as I sold the wife on the 3-car by promising she'd finally be able to park inside....at least for now.

Sounds like the consensus is to go with option 1. One of my challenges will be to keep non-garage-related things out of the garage. Stuff always seems to sneak in there.

What I will never understand is why builders insist on making garages too small or just too dang close for comfort to park a fullsize pickup in there! (Mine included!!)

Option 1 seems like the best over all set up. One thing I didn't catch is the height of your ceilings? If tall enough (and if you opt for it) you could use the 'air space' to hoist the cap off your bronco and store it for nice weather/******* days. Also you could invest in some of those ceiling drop down hanger storage units to ensure that no clutter gets on and around your walkways. Also I assume that boxed in item in the back is your hot water heater right? I am in the works of boxing mine in as well and will be hanging those metal pegboard sheets onto it as to utilize all of the wasted space available.

Just some ideas!

Seriously. My two car is about 19' wide and 18' deep. Just enough room to walk around my small sedan on all sides comfortably when another car is parked next to it. I don't know how I'd ever use it to park cars if I owned something larger.

Ceiling height is 8'4", so not a lot of headroom, but I'm sure I can store shallow things over the Camry (scrap lumber, etc.)
The boxed-in area is the water heater, though it is actually exposed. I was just too lazy to draw it that way.
Thinking I might hang bicycles between the water heater and the sub panel.

It's been a while, but I finally decided on a layout for the shop and found some time to start implementing it. Placing the shop in the single-car bay made the most sense due to available wall space. I played with a few different layouts before landing on this one:

And here are a few pics of the progress so far:

There's still a lot of work to do, but I'm happy to be making progress!
