I saw this ad for a whole wood shop being parted out on craigslist from a guy helping out a neighbor who lost her husband. He knows nothing about it and said to make an offer. Listed as a rotor mill but is actually a delta 43-110 shaper.

It is this one with a stand, reversing switch, guard and motor. No cutters visible though, might be there.

I normally don't ask about machine prices on here, but I want to make a good offer to help out. It needs to get sold before the move and it would go to a good home.

Any thoughts? thanks

Start at $100 and go from there. I see those type of machines list for at least $299 around my area. Less than $100 would be ripping the woman off. At least a $100 starts the conversation.

SC: so let's just talk value. it's probably worth $200 if it runs and the blades are sharp especially with the stand. now have you heard it run? if it runs good and the blades are sharp I've seen them on Craigs for $75 and up and since i don't need or have room for one right now i haven't went to see the actual condition.

if you turn it on and it runs nicely that's a plus. bring a couple boards or use one of the ones on the rack if ok with seller and make a few cuts to see how it works. if you need one $150 isn't out of the ball park and like Puget said if you want to give her full value and take all the risk then give her $200 especially if you get a box of cutters and maybe some wood.

I bought the same one from the Habitat Restore about 2yrs ago. The asking price was $125 and I picked it up when it was marked down to $100.

Mine was on a homemade stand, that stand looks to be an original.

Check it over thoroughly. It can really hinge on what all and the condition of the cutters included. By large they have become a bit obsolete due to advancements in portable routers and detachable tables. Now the big boy multi HP units are still king in production cabinet shops, but that is not one of those. I'd be in the $100 range depending on what all is with it. Just feel it out.
