So I have this understair closet that is in my garage. I keep a dolley, a motorcycle lift and some other misc. stuff that has wheels in there. However, in the entry of the door I would like to build some sort of small ramp to make it easier to get the heavier wheeled items out.

Please look at the picture. The area that I marked with red is wood and I have removed the threshold from it.

It appears you are saying you have removed that curb/threshold marked in red...doesn't that make it level from the interior to the exterior? I'm trying to clarify the problem here. Is the inside lower than the outside - hard to tell from the photo.

My suggestion would be to take the piece of wood that you have marked in red to a table saw and rip it at an angle to make it the ramp. andything wider is going to stick out from under the door and make a trip hazard.

Hi all, no when the threshold is off it doesn't make the closet floor level with the garage floor. Under the piece of wood is about a 1/4" of concrete then over it is the wood marked in red.

No no, what I marked in red is what the threshold attaches too. The threshold itself is not pictured here.

OK. Can you cut that wood and then cement threshold out and then smooth it over with new patch-crete?
