I currently have a T&E 41" roll cab. But a couple of weeks ago my boss ran into it with a Dodge truck. He gave me the money to replace it, so now I'm looking for another box. I have about $1200 to spend. And I'm looking to step up to a 56" if possible since my 41" is quite full. Any suggestion welcome.

I'm sure you guys want to see some pictures.

If you can't find a good deal on a used roll cab on Craigslist, then I'd catch the HF 56" on sale and buy another HF cart to match it.

You might consider Masterforce (sold at Menards). They've got some pretty nice offerings that are affordable as well. One member tested the cabinets by having his wife stand in them. Afterwards, he tried it himself (I think he's around 300 lbs). He said they held up to his abuse.

I think the matco and snap on 41" carts have about the same room as the cheap 56" boxes

matco JSC-750 says over 22,000 cubic inch
snap on KRSC46 roll cart, 20,783 cubic inch
menards masterforce 56" 22,100 cubic inch.

price is quite different, foot print is also smaller for the snap on and matco. have not compared over all build quality of any of them. depends on what kind of layout you want, many small drawers go with a menards, HF, craftsman.

I would look for a cheap used SO Classic 78. I think you could find one in that price range.

I tried craigslist, nobody replied to my email on boxes in this area. Bid on a couple on ebay, but they went for way more than they were worth. Ended up buying a Montezuma from Shannon. Only into it for $300, my boss gave me $800 for the smashed 41"

This had me searching for a few minutes looking for that box for $300... then I re-read your post! :lol_hitti

I was thinking that too! Bodyshop to bang those dents out, and a new drawer, then pocket the rest!
