Help me pick out a shed (Versatube?)

After having converted the garage into my workshop this last fall I've been cramped for space and a lot of the stuff I see no point keeping in a conditioned space year round (pressure washer, grill, boat engine, lawn mower, chainsaw, ATV, gas cans, tires, garden tools, etc). Whenever I do grinding I end up with a coat of dust over everything which is annoying too (I do a lot of fabricating).

I've purged as much extra stuff as I can to still be an independent land owner. Today I asked my wife to go through the garage with me and help me get rid of more stuff. We got rid of a trash bag and a few spare shovels and she told me "you need a shed".

I went to Menards with my dad and wife and the Versatube stuck out as an option that won't require maintenance and will be reasonably quick to set up. It can also come in brown to blend in with the forest. I'm in northern WI and we can get lots of snow and rain. Being solely for storage I don't ever see heating it or working in it for more than 10-15 minutes if I need to move something around or load something up.

My main concern is how well do these vent? (to prevent humidity and condensation)

Any suggestions or experience with these?

I had a steel shed here in Sacramento and in the winter it was always cold and damp inside from the condensation on the steel. If you are in a damp climate that might concern me. The one now is a tuff shed made with a good siding and roof, has good ventilation - it is always dry inside. Nothing rusts like it did in the steel shed. I bought 8 x 10 but really wish I had planned for something larger because I really use it for all landscaping tools. Even store an engine stand and engine lift when not using them in it so it is pretty crowded. Things stored last a long time. 2 Tillers, lawnmower, edger, wheel barrow, all the tools - shovels etc, air compressors etc. Things eat up space fast. I've got a dethatcher that needs to go in there but I am out of room. Go as big as you can afford and will fit on your property regardless what you do.

The simple answer is they don’t as advertised. I’m a Versatube dealer and I use their pricing but I source the sheet metal from another supplier. If you go on the website you will see that you can buy the frame only. I will quote the price for the complete building on the website but of course I get a discount on the material. When it comes time to order I get the frame only. My sheet metal supplier has more colors available and more trim options and they are less expensive and they run a route truck so the freight is less.
Back to your original question. I can get a vented ridge closure and some low wall vents and you’re in business. If you have questions PM me and I can give you some pointers. I have been very happy with the product.

Would you mind sharing what vents you add? And any other modifications that you think are necessary?

The point of this shed is to make things last. I hate it when my stuff rusts and gets nasty or I go to use something and it doesn't work right after storing.

My current garage/workshop is just under 30x30 and feels small with everything in it. When storage is cleared out and I only have one project in it + tools I actually think it might be the right size. As far as land goes, I can go as big as I want. I'm thinking about going with a 20x20 with a leanto off the side for the row boat so I can leave it on the trailer and don't have to always keep it tipped. It's a bit more expensive than I wanted but it'd have plenty of room for all of that: https://www.versatube.com/building-kits/garages-buildings/frontier-garage-with-lean-to-20-x-20-x-10 I really need to think about everything I plan to put in there and then go bigger. I don't want to end up with 2 of these...

readhead,

I am interested in the Versatube route and have many questions. Would you mind if I PM you with them?
