Help me please identify this vise and drill press please!

Hello it's my first post and I look forward to making my garage all nice and finished.

I was given these two items:

And I couldn't find much about them online. Does anyone know anything about them and their worth?

Craftsman 5180 3.5" vise Pat No 2127008. The only thing I could find was that it is a reed patent given in 1936.

The other is an Atlas drill press

No idea where you are, location does make a difference in pricing or worth. Around here the drill press might be worth $50 - wrong motor pulley, no table, just the base. The vise if it has no issues might be worth $100, maybe a little more if someone really wanted that model.

The Craftsman vise is old, possibly before WW II. The Craftsman name underlined shows it to be old. Possibly look up the name design on the Alloy Artifacts page. Atlas is also an old name and their tools were very good. Can't help on pricing, but the oabove post sounds good to me.

The vise is super good. Notice the machined slide. Probably the vise was made for Craftsman by Columbian.

Actually Reed made that vise for Craftsman, that thing says Reed all over it.

I would say the vise is post-WWII, because the bulb that the handle goes through on the main nut is not a full bulb - that's a tell-tale for a bit later model. Maybe just post-WWII.

As a big fan of Reed vises, and also an owner of that same Reed made Craftsman, you definitely have a Reed made Craftsman, later model as mentioned above. That button end main screw is the tell there.

That being said, you will not find a better made vise, period. Yours is small at 3 1/2, but is better than anything else out there unless you need a wider jaw.

Thank you all, I appreciate it! I plan on cleaning them up a bit and hopefully someday restoring them. It looks like the Drill press is a Model 63? I know it's a 15". Unfortunately the ID plate on the bottom has completely dissolved.
