Help me seal this up

I'm building a motorcycle tank with a Jim Beam plastic sight tube. I'm using clear tubing coming from the tank and attaching the clear tubing to the bottle using barbed connections. I'm sealing the barbed connections with clear gas resistant glue. Can anyone think of any better ideas to seal up the bottle? The 90 degree barbed connections coming out of the tank are perfectly fine. The connections for the actual bottle leak a little bit over time. Any input would be awesome.

are JB bottle, cap, cap seal rated for gasoline? normally, if something is made to resist alcohol, then it's not good for gasoline. unless it's specifically made for both like the seals in those flex fuel vehicles.

as for sealing, I don't see why those clamps in fuel line repair kit wouldn't do the job.

Where is the leak? In the glue joint or the cap or the barb fitting? One idea if in the glue or cap si to run a glass tube from the top to bottom fitting so that no fuel is in the glass bottle, only in thetube and fittings. If your leaking at barb/tubing interface Clippard makes a real neat brass clamp that will fit on the outside of the tube.

The leaks coming is between the bottle and the barb connectors. I used several coats of glue but after awhile it seems like the gas always seems to seep through. My method works ok, I just have to re-glue after a month or two.

You could try one of the QD connectors above, pg 315, and make a bulkhead fitting out of it by using a washer and o-ring on one side of the fitting. That would give you a sealed mechanical joint instead of just glue. They have a buna o-ring on the male half that I am not sure is fuel compatible but if it is not then easily changed. There are competitors to Clippard but this is one I know and could easily find.

Try a double barb fitting, with a short piece of tubing over one barn, then presses or silconed into the bottle.

You could just make the tubing pass straight through the bottle. It wouldn't leak, but the visual effect might not be as cool looking. Perhaps you could add some brownish epoxy mix inside the bottle portion just for effect.

Take it to a glass blower and have glass barbed fittings fused to the bottle
