I have some reward type points through my business I need to use soon and I only have a certain amount, but Ive narrowed it down to a few things. Help me make my mind up! haha

Gearwrench XL Locking Flex Set Wrenches

OR

Gearwrench 7 piece reg flex in both SAE and MM

OR

Gearwrench Reversible 12 piece MM and match stubby's

OR

(I have a combo Hitachi already but it would nice to have a permanent fixed based mounted in a table)
Milwaukee 1.75 Fixed Base Router

OR

Hitachi Fix Based Router

OR

Milwaukee Adjustable Handle Circular Saw (I already have a Ridgid Fuego 6 1/2" circular saw, but finding that size blades is tough)

OR

Milwaukee M12 Hex Impact Driver

OR

Milwaukee M12 Drill Driver

OR

Milwaukee Chop Saw

So, there's a lot to choose from and since I only get once chance, I wanna make sure I spend the points wisely. haha! What would you pick?

I am partial to routers. Why? Because I very rarely need one but when I need one I really need one. I use them mostly to round off edges or cut grooves (with 50" edge clamp as a guide). I have three (CM bought on some ridiculous stacked coupon promotional sale, USA-made PC 69x series fixed, DeWalt plunge) and they do get used occasionally (the CM almost never gets used because it's the same functionality as the PC). There is no substitute for a router when you need one. But, unless you're a cabinet maker or counter-top installer there is little need for one on a frequent basis.

One more thing. Good quality router bits are important. I look for sales online and on ebay. Cheap router bits can be dangerous and often do more damage than good.

That's tough....right now I'm pretty set, but I'm thinking like the milwaukee drill driver or something would be a good start to a compact set....they have a million tools to go with that battery including the heated jacket. My Ryobi chop saw just died recently though, but I really wanted to save up and replace it with one of the metal blade clean cut saws. The router would be nice, but I already have a router right now, but having a faxed base to mount would leave my plunger router accessible when I need it. I love the Fuego Circular saw, albeit the limited blade selection, but it works for everything I need and it light weight, but when I need a blade change, it might result is buying a new saw that accepts the standard 7 1/4" unless they increase the availability of that size blade to accomodate like high tooth count to clean cut plywood and whatnot. I'm leaning more towards the milwaukee power tools since they are one of the few companies that still makes a few american made tools and I appreciate that. It's just which one, the router, the drill driver, or or the chop saw.

me too...it's a shame they wouldn't let me pay the difference for something a little more, so I'm stuck with a price limit. Oh well. I'm leaning towards the router or the chop saw. I'm thinking that milwaukee router will be money mounted in a table. I'm about to build a table for one using a rockler router table insert and some left over laminate countertop. I'm thinking it will do the job just right and still leave me access to my plunge router when times call for it.
