So my concrete contractor did a nice job in replacing my very cracked and uneven garage floor with a new slab:
12" x 12" rebar and drilled and epoxied rebar to current foundation... They did about 5 inches thick across the board and a 4' x 12' section in the middle 12" deep and with an additional layer of rebar. The slab turned out great except they put a 1/2" or so deep channel right in the middle of the 4' x 12' section of the slab as shown here:
(The cardboard represents the base plate and post of the lift I've purchased.)
My question is whether I can anchor the lift across that channel or whether I have to keep anchors 6" or so inches away as if it were a joint... If I have to avoid the channel, I would place it where shown in the pic and it would end up being on the edge of the 12" deep portion of the slab...
Could I get your thoughts on my dilemma?
