We were given this commercial ceiling fan in working condition by a tenant that is doing major renos in a unit .
in the process of cleaning it up to hang it, but I can't seem to make sense of the wiring . It is fully operational but I am confused ( that's easily done)
the feeds to the fan are along the bottom of the picture.
the blk feed goes to the cap & also connects to red on the motor.
the Red feed is unused at the connection to the cordset, but it connects to the other side of the cap and the white on the motor
the white feed goes to the black on the motor
there's no light with the fan nor does it appear to be fitable with a l ight .
all I can think of it's a 2 speed fan , but the fact the cap is not in series has me stumped.
Any help appreciated... also I am hoping we can set it up to a fan control ( 3 speed)
