I am moving across the country...and am attempting to do it with only what I can fit in my jeep and my small trailer. As a result, I am considering getting rid of my tool box and getting something later down the road. I refurbished this tool box a couple years ago, and am not really sure what I should be selling it for. Anybody have an idea what I could sell it for? The drawers open smoothly and it rolls great. The bottom drawer doesn't have a latch though...

w/in a year: $100/drawer

Thanks...so about $300 would get it gone quick then? Something to think about. What I DONT want to deal with is Craigslist idiot showing up and saying "well, brah, I can offer ya $40 cash right now for it.."

Uh I *Think* its a vidmar...but that's why I'm here asking. Surely someone will know. I rescued the cabinet and refurbished it and there was not a data plate on it to my recollection.

Its Stanley Vidmar, with the drawer locks for ships, vans, etc, things that can go out of level and cause *all* the drawers to open at once.

In the only town in Pennsylvania, Bloomsburg.
Like it was mentioned, location matters.
In NYC, or any major city, you would get top dollar. Once out of metro areas it is much harder . If you have any full width dividers, I would mention that to possible buyers, also tell buyers, the casters would add >$100 if purchased separately .

Forget Ebay pricing, I think all Vidmar sellers on Ebay have been on drugs lately. In the last 9 months it seems the sellers are trying to raise the prices of the cabinets, but they forget, to inflate the price someone needs to buy them.

In NYC this would go for $600, would command better price with the original paint in good condition. Once you get in fairly rural areas the price drops, $300 is the absolute minimum I would go as a seller in a rural area; of course I would be dead, as I would not sell a Vidmar alive , so my estate would be selling it at 300. The safety detente missing is a minor detail, half of buyers would remove the mechanism anyway. Major deterrents would be damaged frame, major dent or rust ,everything else is minor

You have the required post count to list it here in the classifieds, why not start a for sale thread here.
