So I bought these 4 position switches to run some squirrel cage fans at different speeds off ebay. They are made in West Germany shipped from China lol

Anyway I can't seem to figure out how to hook the thing up. I ohm'ed all the connections and couldn't get any continuity between any of the terminals no matter the switch position.

I couldn't find any clear to me instructions on where the line was supposed to be attached let alone the load.

Here are a few pictures of the switch and box. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.
And the link to the ebay purchase

Diagram sure looks like that switch is designed to feed a single voltmeter from 3 voltage transformers on a 3Ø system.

It's a bit difficult to get beyond that without knowing your motor winding connections.

Looks like a standard stack-able cam switch, looks like two switches, one set of contacts on each side should be NO and one set should be NC, use a multi meter to determine.

That is not a good sign. Like you went thru *every* combination and it does not work?

The wiring diagram makes zero sense to me as to what is connected when. Is there some kind of legend on the selector face?

It reminds me of a similar Klockner Moeller selector switch I had once which didn't work, it was used, but I found it had gotten coolant-soaked and apparently started arcing internally, burning away some of the contacts. It was modularly built and I was able to find enough good contacts still inside of it to continue the adventure.

The diagram appears to be for a 6 positions switch (3 phase to phase positions and 3 phase to neutral positions) So in other words I'm pretty sure that's the wrong diagram. The best bet is going thru it with a meter (I usually just use the audible continuity tester) and see what connects where. For a real diagram you will need the full part number which can be a bit difficult for K and N as I have found many with out the full number on the label. There are huge variations in how these are built with different cams and internal jumpers etc. if your not getting anything on the meter that would be troubling. I would expect terminal 1 to connect to terminal 2 at least in some position. On a side note the diagrams that come with these and the Salzer cam switches drive me nuts.
