Doing a little drywall finishing at the moment and I'm trying to decide what paint scheme I'm going to go with. I want to do the classic two-tone with the stripe in the middle, but I want to keep both colors light because it makes the space look bigger (just putting up the drywall made a big difference). I am a big Ford guy and have many Ford signs to put up.

Give me some paint ideas!

Our two car garage is close to completion and we decided to paint three colors. The bottom will be the high gloss burgandy Virgiia Tech color, the top will be high gloss white and they will be seperated with the Virginia Tech orange. My son grauated from Tech.

After working in machine shops most of my life I decided to go with what I was used to - utilitarian colors. So I chose Nimbus grey (aka-battleship grey) on the bottom to help hide dirt & grime, and Bright white up top to reflect light.

Use white and blue. White ceiling and walls with a blue stripe. I like my Ford blue floor. :) The white gives off good reflections for the lighting. my cabinets are gray.

I'd do as GRX suggests and do the top white (plain-*** white so touch up is easy and cheap), but I'd do the bottom in silver rather than gray to stay "light" as per your idea. Then I'd do the stripe in Ford blue since you have signs & stuff already in that color. Rustoleum can be purchased in gallon cans of silver.

Make sure to post pics of whatever you decide.

I like to use a darker color on the lower wall sections since this is where things generally will tend to come in contact with the walls the most, and will leave all kinds of marks, if the color is light.

Good idea matching the stripe with the signs. Main reason I went with Nimbus grey is because I was sealing block walls and the color choice was limited. Was actually going to finish with a top coat of silver but I liked the gray so much I left it.

Not trying to hijack but I am in about the same shape and need ideas. My wife brought up maybe a red, white, and blue theme. Anything like that out there? All these pictures are great. Can we keep them coming?
