I have a problem I am trying to work out and am trying to get some knowledge on! I have a 3' chainlink fence currently around my yard. I am attempting to keep the existing fence pipes and just build around/ onto the existing fence to make it a 6' wood fence. The corner posts are 1-7/8" od schedule 40, I know a 2-3/8 schedule 40 pipe will slide over just perfect. However the line posts are 1-5/8" od pipe. Does anyone have any ideas what size pipe will slide over 1-5/8" fairly tight? I am planning on going to the local fence place and metal yard tomorrow to get some more info. However I would like to go in with some knowledge so I don't get taken to the cleaners. Thanks!
