Hi folks,

A brief word of introduction: I'm a bike mechanic, lapsed engineer, and hope to get into light machine work now that I have some time on my hands. It's fun to see such an active online forum.

I have been trying to identify a hydraulic floor jack and this forum has so far gotten me the closest with the most usable info, but I've still struck out. I used it while I was consumed by the feverish sickness of Saab ownership, but time to sell for lathe tooling. Trouble is, I have no clue what it is or whether it's worth more than the average going for cheap junk.

Photos attached. Weighs about 75 lbs! Picked it up in Minneapolis after the U of M fleet services retired it. One picture shows the only identifiable marking, which looks quite a bit like the Tesla logo. It is cast in, though, which I hope bodes well for being something unusual.

Anyone recognize the brand? Help is much appreciated.

Aside from the colors, your jack looks almost identical to my 3 ton Sears jack from about 1990. I'm pretty sure the Sears jack came from Taiwan but the label is damaged and I can't be sure.

I have the impression that this is a common design and was made in several Asian factories and labeled with several different brands. I have no idea about the mark on the yoke but it looks like it would interchange with the one on my Sears jack. My yoke has no such mark.

I will say that my Sears jack still works well and the only service it's needed is tightening up some loose bolts and an oil fill. And the gears got damaged so I found some generic gears on ebay. Those gears worked perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably ask $100 for the thing. Not a lot of lathe tooling but it'll get me further than $0 and 70+ lbs more mobile, always good as a renter. Cheers!
