This is my second post so so go easy on me. I need some help deciding on the type and amount of lights I need for my shop. Here are the details of my shop:

30'x50' Mueller Building with 12' eaves it will have the white faced vinyl insulation on the walls and roof. I need to know how many lights and the type to install so I can have good light. I am leaning toward buying the 8' lights from Lowes/Home Depot these are the ones that have 2ea rows of 4' lamps.

Like these:

If I go this direction what type of bulbs do I need to get? How many fixtures do I need to get really good light? Do I need to run the lights parallel or perpendicular to the eave (eave runs the 50' length)?

Are there any other options I need to be looking at?

Thanks!

OK, I just posted this to someone else 2 seconds ago - anyway see posts #40, #41, #42 = 40' x 60' x 12’ eave steel building with 2/12 pitch in the light fixture layout collection linked in my sig below. Also see #24 & #25.

For bulbs, see spread sheet linked at the bottom of 1st post in the best light fixture ever. You may want a different color temperature like 5000K, but it'll give you a start. Be sure to check local deals as there have been many bargains had on discontinued fluorescent lamps.
