So I'm in the process of rebuilding a champion vr5-8 that I got for free. I've totally dismantled the pump to clean it up and rebuild. Well today I pulled the lower tank plug and got a little glimpse of the inside and it looks a mess? scaly, rusty, sludgy 
so now I'm wondering if I should throw in the towel before I put any more$$ into it. How much of a problem is this? From the outside all looks solid but im not sure what is acceptable for the inside
