Hi All, I'm woking on the install of a MaxJax MX-6. The hydraulic connections to the cylinder (as per instructions) seem to block the center outside bolt hole. How have other users of the MX-6 handled the installation of the hydraulic connectors?
The attached photo is from the MaxJax website, but mine looks the same. Thanks for any help (MaxJax support isn't too supportive in my effort) unnamed.jpg

I'm just installing mine now as well and just looked at mine. The fitting look like it will stick out over the bolt as you say. My wejit bolts are sunk down below the surface of the concrete enough (maybe close to 1/2") so it looks like there is maybe just enough room to slip the bolt just under the male end of the quick connect and then tighten it with a crescent wrench. I guess if the bolt is too tall and hitting the fitting you'll have to tilt it forward, stick the bolt in and then lift the whole post with several large shims and remove them once you can get the bolt threaded in. I hope I don't have that problem too.

Hi CaymanJoe,
I received some good advice from MX-6 users on the Honda Odyssey Forum.
Instead of mounting the fittings in the vertical plane (as seen in the photos from MaxJax), turn them 90 degrees so the bend is in the horizontal plane in relation to the cylinder. Then they will clear the bolt hole. Simple, but I was following the photos.
I have yet to drill the holes, but hopefully I will have time to get on it soon.
Best of luck,
BDD

CaymanJoe,
Do you have a Cayman? How wide did you place the posts (to the outside)? I'm trying to plan for the possible "fleet" that will use the lift.
Thanks,
BDD
