Well I didn't have the time to do my own garage build so I farmed it out. Basic specs are as follows: 24Wx28Dx8.5H with a 6/12 pitch roof. Foundation is a 4" slab with 16" total depth along the edges, 4000psi fiber reinforced concrete. Paying 10,500 to a licenced GC to construct.
The garage started last week with concrete and framing this monday.
I have a question about acceptable build quality. In the below pictures after they pulled the wood forms off I can see the aggregate/rough edge on the sides. Is this an issue.....does this mean that the entire interior of the garage floor below the surface could/is like this? If its an issue, what is the best way to address it?
Second question is the rear corner of the garage (2x4 framing) overhangs the slab by 3/4 of an inch (slab not perfectly square). Also, at the very edge it overhangs 1.25 inches because a spike that holds the bottom 2x4 in place split the corner of the concrete off.
i really need some opinions before i finish payment.
