I went to a family friends dad's shop yesterday, as they are getting ready to get rid of the contents. The owner passed away a few years ago, and the items have just been sitting untouched.
There are more things then would fit in my 30x40 shop.
Here are a couple of pieces that I want to buy, but don't know a value. I want to get a good price for both she and I. what do you guys think is fair?
Thanks,
Shawn

As far as the cabinet, I would guess maybe $100. As far as the standing desk and bookrack, I've seen those go for around $50. But what books are in there? The books may have some significant value in their own.

And just so you know, the cabinet is more uncommon to come by that the standing desk. Those style of desk were used in a lot of factories, dealerships, and other places of business back in the day. Not really a rare item, but unique non the less.

If it were me, I would probably make a first offer of $100 for the cabinet, desk, and books, and go from there.

Thanks, guys. I am waiting on her to call me. I didn't want to offer and hit too low. I don't do that to people I know.

Wife and I both concur, $200 for the pair is fair for both, she thinks there time life books, probably $5 a piece, also dont split up the set and get the metal table on wheels. and a picture of them in your garage being used will make her most happy.....Good luck. METALMOVER

The cabinet is cool, but I would check the bottom and inside out real close for rot. What is on the inside, just shelves?

The table in front of the desk would make a pretty decent welding table.

I'll give you twenty quid, a bag of liquorice comforts and a part used packet of menthol flavoured tissues (as long as you pay the shipping) Thats the sum total of my pockets!
