Ok, so I just added two more circuits to the subpanel in the garage........and need some help figuring out what is wrong

Both breakers are 20amp and are ran using 12/2 romex and two junction boxes

Basically I installed 3, dual duplex boxes (spaced out about 3 feet from each other) and 20amp outlets (6 total)

On one circuit, the dual duplex setup works fine, however the other circuit I am scratching my head

I have an outlet/receptacle tester, which shows an open neutral 'code'......not on all, just the middle two outlets

The first outlet show two green codes, which means it is working fine.....the outlet attached in this dual duplex box reads "open neutral"

Then.........a few feet away is the next dual duplex setup....this next outlet reads "open neutral", however the next outlet (the last one) reads "two green" codes (working fine)

I hope I described this ok...........maybe I should take pics and do some photo editing to help

I am not an electrician, but can some basic home wiring.........or so I thought

Any ideas on what to do?

It sounds as if you have miswired, or the wiring is not making contact properly with the outlet or the wirenuts/splice..

I would start with shutting that breaker off, and pulling those two boxes apart to do a thorough visual inspection.

The first and the last outlet are working perfectly, the middle two are not..........so strange

They are just hanging loosely out of each box, not installed yet

Either a loose connection or bad outlets. Check and recheck all connections, I prefer a meter to a circuit tester, but either way your problem is in the wiring or components. If you are confident in your wiring, swap the bad testing receptacles with a good testing one and see if the problem moves with it. If it does, you have bad receptacles .

Did you pig tail the wires in each outlet box or back feed them from each outlet?
If you back fed them make sure you don't have a jumper cut on the neutral side of one of the outlets.

I went back into the two junction boxes and made sure each wire nut was extra tight

Must have been a simple fix, because the outlet reader shows all 6 are good now

Thanks
