Help planning lighting circuit

Hello all,

This is my first post on the GJ Board.


I am looking to do two types of lighting in my garage. I am planning one circuit for some recess lighting for just hanging out with the boys.

The other circuit I propose running will have the equivalent of (8) 8 foot double T8 bulbs and (2) 4 foot double T8 bulbs for doing actual work.

I believe I can run all of the flourescents on a single 15 amp circuit.

Any thoughts?

8 x 8ft T8 fixtures and 2 x 4ft T8 can all be run on a single 15A circuit, but split them onto two or three switches, so you can control how many you have on.

Thanks Steevo. I am planning on two separate switches for the flourescents and a third for the cans.
