A friend of mine gave me a "DAYTON SPEEDAIRE" compressor. Yey...I think?

He said it works, but would blow fuses in a matter of seconds.

So here's the the thing...

Motor is a 2HP Dayton...115/230 volt.

It has 2 diagrams. One says Low other says High.

Is the low 115 volt?

This is the diagram: LOW :

P1 LINE P2 & P3 TAPE (and is that tape both wires 2gether?) T2 & T4 LINE

HIGH :

P1 LINE P2 TAPE T3 & T2 TAPE T4 LINE.

Mabey it was wired for 230 and thats why the probs?

COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME NOW HOW TO WIRE THIS FOR 115VOLT !

Thanks. Dave.
