Hello,

I'm going to be installing solar on the roof of our motorhome and I'm stuck at what to get for where each wire from the panel will go through the top rear fiberglass cap. Whatever the item I'm looking for - would protect the wire from the fiberglass and support it through a 90 degree bend AND grip the wire as it will free fall for 6' or so to where I can attach/support it the rest of the run down the cap (I can remove a tail light to reach in and put in something to support the wires from there down).

So far I've come across the terms: strain relief & cord grip, also mesh support grip, but I don't know what else I maybe should be searching for?

The cable I'll be using is 10AWG Silicone insulated, 1050 strand tinned copper, with an OD of 5.5mm. Each cable will have its own entry to the top of the rear fiberglass cap.

Thank you for any help and if I've left anything out you need to know, please ask.

Consider a Marine deck pass through? Google "cable clam" and go from there. I assume it's 12v at this point?

Thank you Noltz! Actually it's a 24VDC 144W panel, and I have 2 - I'm going to start with one and add the 2nd if needed. I would put them in series if I add the second. I have a MPPT Charge controller that will step down to the 12V House batteries' voltage...

I'll go looking for a Cable Clam!
