Help Restoring a Snap On Kra53b

I bought this kra53b just yesterday. Nice little box. I'd really like to fix it up and give to my nephew.

I have a few questions though. Where could a get a handle for it? Would a generic replacement lock from a locksmith be fine for it? There is no key for it. Also, should I repaint the outside? My nephew is a big John Deere fan. I think JD green would be cool. But the inside is clean as can be. Apparently the former owner used some good drawer liners. I'd hate to paint over all that good original paint.

Any thoughts?

What is the ctc distance on the holes for the handle. Some (wider, square ends) you can still get, others are older (shorter, rounded) and NLA.

What is the first two letters on the lock? LL and Y series you can get keys cut for via ebay and the like.

I would NOT repaint it, looks good enough as is IMHO.

Haven't measured the handle holes yet.

The lock isn't marked. Another reason why I'm unsure what to do.

Is there a reason that I don't see the picture? Am I looking in the wrong place? With that being said, I got a KRL53B from a house I was cleaning out and it had a broken off key in the lock. My snap on dealer was able to order me a new one for a couple bucks. I'm not sure if the handles are available, but I would imagine so. I also got new drawer slides for it from him.
