Hello everybody! I'm a newbie on this forum, so I'm still getting used to everything haha.

Anyways, I found an old air compressor that was my grandpa's. He had it set up underneath the deck and ran electrical lines through the basement to power it. The other day, me and my buddy dragged her out (boy was she heavy) and cleaned it up. Sure enough, we plugged her in after rewiring and she started right up!

The motor that powers the compressor is a craftsman 115/230 volts. However, I have no clue as to who manufactured the compressor. I was hoping someone on here might have an idea of what kind of model/company built it? The only number listed on it is 98304-6-R. Also, it is missing an air filter for the intake, any suggestions for this? Here's some pics...

Thanks,
Jason

With some fab work an intake/filter adapter could and should be made. If you plan to use it. Don't know the make but it does look "vintage". It is also probably a low cfm and max pressure output. Put the new $3000 IR compressor in a closet and leave this one out for all to see. Then tell everyone that this little thing is running the sand blaster or whatever.

Dave, welcome by the way

Thanks Dave for the reply. Was thinking of a way to customize a filter for the intake...

Also, I assume that this compressor should use non-detergent oil since there being no oil filter on it correct? Anyone have a rough idea of how much she might use?

Thanks,
Jason
