Regancc, in regards to tile Home Depot, and Lowes usually have specials on tile either close outs and on occasion if someone doesn't pick up a special order or returns tile. Depending on what you will be doing you could consider epoxy floor coating. I recently coated my floor using Epoxy Coat using a beige base color with heavy flaking or rejection effect as they call it then I applied the clear. The end result is a floor coating that looks like granite and is chemical resistant. If I can figure out how to post pics on the forum using my iPhone I will post them in this thread so you can see for yourself.
