So it is time for me to get a new box I bought a cheap pos tool box from husky last year after my box got stolen so I wound up with a 52in huskey I HATE IT

So I am in the market for something new I have only about a $1000 budget
So I am very limited I also only want a bottom roller I like having a top for a bench

I was looking at a 56in from harbor freight

any other suggestions

HF boxes tend to get great reviews, and had the dollar been better would have been what I was going to go with when my c-man got overloaded. If you can find a source for one though, I have liked my International SPG box that I bought back in July. For what I paid, the quality is definitely much better value than big box brands, and given the current exchange rate it may be worth it for you to check out if you can source one.

I bought the VRB 4211 for just over $500 CAD, but they do have heavier lines available that may better suit your needs. Canadian made with a 5 year warranty.

Just my two cents.

The HF boxes do seem to have a following around here. I'd either seriously consider one or keep watching CL for a decent used SO, Mac or other box.

I have a 56" from Harbor Freight...

Bought it on sale for $ 699.99...

I'd have to spend at least twice what I did, to get a better box...

I love mine...

They're on sale now, I think...

Also look at masterforce if you have a Menard's near you. Very good quality box at a very reasonable price. I currently have 3 41" models 2 with top boxes and 1 with a side locker. I would buy another one if I needed another box.

If you don't like the husky I highly doubt the almighty US General is going to get it done for you. Its cheap for a reason, i'll say it, its ****. If you're a pro you need a pro box. With your budget look used. Too bad you're not closer, I have a Macsimizer i'm getting ready to sell.

a lot o people seem to like montezuma and strictly toolboxes

I'd probably go with one of those over a 56" HF

If you are patient you can probably find a double bay snap on or matco for 1k or a little more

I saw a top of the line 72" like-new condition snap on that had a $9800msrp for $1850 the other day.
