Pretty old GE double wall oven from the 90s. The bottom one is still working fine, but the top one shuts off after a few minutes regardless of bake or broil. I can feel it was starting to heat up slightly before shutting off. I pulled it out and verified the elements are getting 240v while in operation so I think the elements are good. Seems like it is probably a safety switch that may have gone bad and keeps tripping it off. There are no error codes or messages. The oven simply turns off and so does the display as if it were never on. Any thoughts on where to look and what to replace? It's a GE JKP44GP series

With the display resetting, that sounds like a fault in the controls not so much with the element or the safety cutout.

Will the upper oven display its current temp. maybe the temp sensor is giving bad data to the board.

Or maybe the cancel button on the front failing.

Note It looks like the control board is NLA. Unless you are up for replacing all the old capacitors on the board you are pretty much done.
