Found this kal equipment engine analyzer in a thrift shop. Wondering what a good price on one would be. Looks new and all attachments seem to be there. Thanks in advance for any help!

I hate to burst your bubble, but this stuff can be hard to sell, since people don't use these much anymore.

I love that old equipment, working or not. I would already have it in my garage.LOL.

Tim.

Me too!!! But my wife says to research it. Don't pay to much. She's a buzz kill sometimes! But the newest car I own is a 65 Chevy pickup and all my others are older. Figured it'd be a nice lil addition to the shop.

It won't work on newer stuff, so has little value. Look around, should be able to find one in the $25-50. dollar range. I used to have a similar AC Delco unit from the early seventies, bought it at a swap meet for $25.00, actually only used it one time. Took up too much space, ended up scrapping it, used the nice set of casters it was on under my Kalamazoo band saw.

Well the question was what's a good price. I understand it doesn't work on new stuff. I said in a previous post my newest car was a 65. Big and bulky yes but I thought it would be cool to have just didn't want to pay to much. Thanks for the good info and its a pile of **** comments. Greatly appreciated

I think it's cool and looks in really good shape. While I have neither use nor space for one, it sure looks good.

What's it worth to you? Do you need it to use or just for dressing up your shop? Sure looks great for the latter.

I don't need it. Just for the shop. But I may use it. But 125 is high it sounds like but the money goes to a good cause. So I'm gonna offer them 75 and see what they say. If I can swing it I'll probably pay the 125. It really is in great shape.

Well sorry. guess I gave both, what's a good price, and **** comments too. Didn't mean to rain on your parade, just thought you might like some insight from someone who also thought it was cool, but maybe not practical. Don't shoot the messenger.

Oh, and by the way, you asked about the VALUE of a tool, a tools value is derived from it usefulness, not just what it costs.

I passed on a smaller does all that stuff version today for $5. As a shop decoration, maybe $50, but it wasn't worth $125 20 years ago, too much space, too few useful functions, and worst of all not a neat brand like Sunn.

Ok, it may be old and outdated by todays standards; so many folks will put little value on such equipment..... Those opinions would be fine with me, and I would not debate their reasoning..... However, if that KAL unit is still in good working order, and has an instruction manual,,, and you have a use for it!!!!!!!!!!!! go for it!!!!!!!!!!!! That machine is worth to you what YOU are willing to pay........ Me?? I would offer $75{due to the fact that it IS old and obsolete}{because the money received IS for a good cause, and I don't care to insult people}... If that would be fair enough for you or me, would that be fair enough for the seller??????????
