Help Vise identification

There is no brand/ type of identification on vise other than the number 4. 6” vise and probably around 20 lbs. Any ideas on year/brand???

Number 4 usually refers to a 4" vise, made in Asia, usually China. That's what yours looks like. You say it is a 6" vise, are you measuring jaw width or max opening? Jaw width is the correct way. As to age, not that old, and with that type of vise, pretty much irrelevant.

As 454 said, China import. 4" wide. Not desirable or as strong as old USA etc, but it will hold stuff.

If you need a vise for $20 sure, if you want a sweet vise that gives you pride etc, look elsewhere. Lots of info on this site...
