It's on the ceiling in my shop. I want to say it's track lighting, but it's like nothing I've ever seen before:

Looks like a heater to me also. Folllow the wires to it and see what it does when you flip the switch.

Looks like some kind of power track/rail. We used to see a variation of this in clothing factories so equipment could slide along or be fixed at an infinite number of places along the rail.

It is a bussway. I see these in older factorys. They useally have them over top the length of a production run. This way when they set up a diffrent products they can just slide the power to where they need it. The conections to it looks like a trolly useally with a rubber cord hanging. They are usally 240 1 phase with a neutral. Most of the drops are 120v for lablers, blowers, convayer, counters and such.
